DJ, artist, record producer and founder of Dim Mak Records, Steve Aoki has discovered and collaborated with some of the most acclaimed acts in the world including Armand Van Helden, Laidback Luke, Afrojack and has remixed for the likes of Michael Jackson and The Killers. In addition to music, Steve Aoki has always had a hand in fashion and design. In celebration of his tour 'DEADMEAT', Steve is inviting artists to design the artwork for a limited edition t-shirt which will be sold as part of his tour merchandise on the Dim Mak and DEADMEAT online stores. Artists should be inspired by the official 'Bearded' imagery (as featured on Steve Aoki's 'Wonderland' album cover and the main Creative Invite image) and are encouraged to include their personalised 'identification' within the artwork.

Mac Monroe is a Belgian DJ and Producer. It’s in October 2007 that Mac Monroe made his first steps as a DJ in a club, “La Mezzanine”. After playing in different places, Mac Monroe could find his own music style which is characterized by Electronic music and House music.

Besides being a DJ, Mac Monroe has, since December 2008, focused his work on producing his own tracks. On April 2010, he releases his thirth single ‘Wrong’, a huge record supported by well known DJ’s as Freemasons, Agent Greg, Ted Nilson, Dubfire, Sharam and Peter Brown…

Sharam returns with new single “Our Love” on Yoshitoshi

Grammy Award winning producer/DJ Sharam returns with his new single “Our Love;” released on the world renowned Yoshitoshi Recordings. The rising house duo of Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano are about to unleash their remake of Tiesto’s classic ‘‘Lethal Industry’’ on December 12, 2011. And by the overwhelming reactions, it is already a bona fide hit.

Topping the Buzz Chart at #1, featured plays on Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Selection’ and unprecedented support from the world’s most influential DJ’s, have pushed Sunnery and Ryan’s simple bootleg into the “must have” track of 2011.

Originally, ‘Lethal Industry’ (as most know) was released by Tiesto back in 2005. NYC’s own incomparable party starter Junior Sanchez plays Santa and drops a bag of his treats on the Cielo dancefloor for all to share. In preview of this great event Junior is offering fans a free mixtape featuring original tracks and remixes from Adele, Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso, Swedish House Mafia vs Knife party, Romanthony, Cajmere & Gene Farris, Interceptor and Junior, himself!

Looking back on 2011, it’s been a remarkable year for one of dance music’s longest running and most influential house music labels. In addition to a constant flow of chart topping singles, Nervous released a bevy of compilations including Oscar G – “Live From NYC,” Boris- “Believe In the Music II,” Chus & Ceballos – “Back On Tracks 2,” Theo – “School of House,” Junior Sanchez – “Seize The Fewcha,” Sydney Blu – “Live From Mansion,” Miss Jennifer – “Nervous Nitelife,” and CJ Mackintosh – “Nervous House 20.”

This was also the year that Nervous ramped things up on the event space and took their brand beyond the house music genre. They formed a partnership with Cielo (one of NYC’s finest clubs) and launched a monthly “Nervous Records Presents” series. The diverse crop of artists who played Nervous events in 2011 include Norman Doray, Kenny Dope, Treasure Fingers, Richard Grey, CJ Mackintosh, DJ Pierre, The Juan Maclean, Junior Sanchez, Prok N Fitch, PleasureKraft, David Berrie and Sydney Blu.

Afrojack, one of the world’s most in demand producers and DJs, has been honored today by The Recording Academy of America who havenominated the superstar for his second Grammy Award.

Afrojack [Nick van de Wall] is nominated as “Best Remixer” for his work on Leona Lewis’ song ‘Collide.’The remix, which was released last July on J Records, became an instant sensation and is still riding a wave of success in clubs and through radioairplay across the globe.

When given the news today, an elated Nick van de Wall had this to say:“I can’t believe the news!! To be nominated again is incredible! This is a real honour…thank YOU!!!” –Afrojack

Afrojack was nominated (and subsequently won) his first Grammy in the same category this past February for his and David Guetta’s remix of Madonna’s ‘Revolver.’ Afrojack also worked on several high profile songs this year that have been recognized by The Recording Academy with Grammy nominations.

Although not personally nominated for his work, he is proud to have had a hand in these significant records. Chris Browns ‘Look At Me Now’ which is vying for “Best Rap Performance”and “Best Rap Song” respectively. (Afrojack is a co-producer on the song)

Steve Aoki Announces North American 'DEADMEAT' Tour, Winter 2012

The Bloody Beetroots Unleash "Church Of Noise" on Dim Mak Records

THE BLOODY BEETROOTS, helmed by Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo--Italian producer and masked electro/punk-rocker--has unleashed “Church Of Noise” via Ultra Music/Dim Mak Records.

The video, directed by Charlie Lightening (www.lighteningproductions.com), who has done work for Arcade Fire, Primal Scream, Beady Eye and Kasabian, is now available on Youtube.

A “cultural-musical movement,” as he calls it, “Church Of Noise” is Rifo’s inaugural collaboration with Dennis Lyxzén of Swedish hardcore punk-pioneers Refused and The (International) Noise Conspiracy, who appears in the video. The song was produced in London by Rifo and studio maverick and Killing Joke founder/bassist Youth, whose vast production credits for Paul McCartney, Crowded House, Yazz, The Verve and Primal Scream, just to name a few.

“Dennis and I have decided to break the mental barriers and we are here today to fight together,” Rifo explains. Of their otherwise unlikely paring he says, “There are many common ideas between Romborama [the Beetroots debut album] and The Shape Of Punk To Come [Refused’s seminal album]. Both are primarily inspired by the anarchism of Malatesta.”

You don’t have to know your anarchist history to get what “Church of Noise” is about: faith and frequencies, the familiar and the ferocious and most of all, freedom. With its siren-call of bittersweet strings waving like morning-after battle flags as well as the raw, chugging live bass and guitar-shards framing vocals that alternate between adrenal caterwaul and spoken-word break-downs (“...It only takes a sound to change the beaten path/It only takes love and courage to take it all back”...), “Church of Noise” is the most ambitious Bloody Beetroots recording to date.

"People sometimes mix me up with Luke," says Sander van Doorn in his interview with DJ Mag, "so in the studio, he was wearing a cap, we took a picture for Twitter asking, 'Who's Wearing The Cap?' and that became the name of the track!"

1. Funkadelic - Free Your Mind and Your Ass Will Follow

This seemed the perfect sentiment with which to kick off the mix and comes from a totally 'out there' album, apparently recorded within 24hrs whilethe band were completely off their nut. Not an unusual occurrence in those days but 'Free Your Mind…' took funk into another, heavier dimension.

2. Frankie Valli - Grease

From 1978 and one of my first musical memories. It's been so overplayed and hijacked by the tacky Saturday night Karaoke brigade one forgetshow good the music actually is. Fantastically warm production which conjures up many good memories and a few desperate ones of my futile search for a fly leather jacket and Yale cardigan.

3. Michael Jackson - PYT

I recently dug this out to play at Cafe Mambo Ibiza and felt the atmosphere lift immediately as soon as it dropped. The groove is sooo tight andclean with Michael nailing the vocal to within an inch of its life and it's an often overlooked cut from the album. Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones….what's there not to be inspired by?

4. Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - Live @ Union Square

I listened to this over and over with my head in my hands thinking 'how the hell did Jazzy Jeff do that?' From then on I collected all the UltimateBreaks & Beats albums and began practicing…hard. I got some way with scratching and early turntablism and this set a benchmark (which I never reached I'm sorry to say!)

5. Herbie Hancock - Rockit

Before the scratching came the body-popping and breakdancing. I was fairly useless and this record was the soundtrack to many lost battles in my'hood'.

6. Colonel Abrahms - Trapped

I once DJ'd at a gig where Colonel Abrahms was singing. My girlfriend at the time decided to keep him company while I was playing and at theend of the night she told me what a nice guy Colin was. I still ended up marrying her.

7. Aleem - Get Loose

Along with Release Yourself this is an absolute standout cut from Aleem who apparently shared an apartment with Jimi Hendrix. With LeroyBurgess on vocals it combined electro production with soulful overtones perfectly and was another excuse to buss' out the lino.

8. Bob James - Nautilus + Linda Clifford - Ride The Storm

A lot of Bob James' stuff can sound a little hotel lobbyish for me but this deep, dark jazz-funk groove is so atmospheric and menacing, if you close your eyes you'll literally feel 20,000 leagues under the sea.

9. Stevie Wonder - Living For The City

'New York, just like I pictured it. Skyscrapers and evrythang!' I waited many years to be able to say that but when I did, I blew an air kiss to Stevie on Madison Avenue. If I had to pick, he's probably my artist of all time.

10. Roy Ayers & Ubiquity - Life Is Just A Moment Pt. 2

This man is responsible for many of my £'s spent on records and entrances to Ronnie Scotts. I once interviewed him at the back of his tour busand remember being speechlessly star-struck. A disastrous 10 minutes that ended my career in journalism. This is one of my favourite lesser known tracks and while Part 1 is pretty decent, I imagine this came after a step out of the studio, a quick fag and back in to lay down this heavyalternative take.

11. James Brown & The JB's - Mind Power

What inspirations list wouldn't include a bit of JB? Whenever I think of James Brown, for some reason I think of this...

12. The Fatback Band - I Found Lovin’

One of those tunes that got a roar as soon as the first bar cut through the system. So recognisable, and one that re-united the guys and the girls onthe dance floor after the breakdance competition had climaxed. Brought back into blokey territory on a re-release by Steve Walsh and his 'You What? You What?' call to arms - I never understood that version….

13. Public Enemy - Bring The Noise

These guys were my 'Sex Pistols' I suppose, and as a white kid from the suburbs they should have meant nothing to me, but their angry,rebellious rawness appealed during my teenage years. Perhaps I was angry I had nothing to be angry about??

14. A Tribe Called Quest - Oh My God

Probably my favourite Hip Hop act and I was truly sad when they split. Q Tips flow and the simple but untouchable, lazy MPC beats of AliShaheed together with Phife's childlike pitch took The Native Tongues to another level. Although De La Soul and The Jungle Brothers were close contenders, Tribe win it for me in this inspirations mix.

15. Soul II Soul - Fairplay

When these guys arrived their sound was totally fresh and very much 'a London Thing'. I was lucky to see them at their club nights at The AfricaCentre and The Fridge and bought the T-Shirt too. There has never been a more appropriately named album than 'Club Classics'.

16. John Coltrane - Acknowledgement

The album 'A Love Supreme' is made up of only 3 parts, is fairly heavy going in some parts but very spiritual and was on constant rotation in myroom during my studies at University - a coming of age, 'grown-up' record.

17. MARRS - Pump Up The Volume

This had the same effect on me as 'Live @ Union Square', except in a production context. Years before I stepped into a recording studio I'd begunto wonder how these sounds were made and think it was possible I could do the same. In 1987 I would never have believed that 20 years laterI'd be sat next to CJ Mackintosh, 37000 ft in the air, talking about how the record influenced me.

18. Jaydee - Plastic Dreams

It's a little difficult to classify this record and the proof of which is that it was my house hating friends that first put me onto it. At the very least, I don'tthink there are many DJs of any kind of dance genre who haven't played this record.

19. Barbara Tucker - Beautiful People

Although I'd bought a few 'House' records previously, this one helped change the way I saw it. One night I found myself standing on a speakerstack, pumping my arms in the air to the sound played by a dj from New York. I woke up the next day, threw a mix tape I'd been given the previous night into the cassette player and on came 'Beautiful People'. The 'feeling' came flooding back and I can honestly say that's the day'House' music truly made sense to me. I got on the next train to London, straight to Release The Groove Records, and spent my student allowanceon the latest shipload of US House and Garage.

20. Constipated Monkeys - Cro-Magnon

One of the last times I can say I was truly inspired on a production level was when Eric Morillo launched Subliminal records. It spawned a new eraof funky but main-room House Music that I've tried to adhere to in the studio since then. Bridging the gaps between prog, tech, funky and deephouse, Subliminal fired out a number of classics in their first 2 years and was a no questions asked must buy label. Cro-Magnon had me andWarren Clarke looking up at Harry & Jose as Deities for a long time after that.

21. Lil Louis - French Kiss

Another record that you'd hear all over the club scene regardless of style. One that on paper should be restricted to specialist techno dark roomsbut thanks to its provoking breakdown and innovative 'slow-down' gained fans right out to the holiday resorts of Turkey and beyond, where I firstheard it. I stupidly sold my original copy to the local dj in return for free drinks the next night…..

22. Nuyorican Soul - I Am The Black Gold Of The Sun (4 Hero Mix)

A major influence and possibly my favourite Dance producers were Masters At Work. I could have included a number of their productions in thismix but I chose, instead, to feature them as artists being remixed. The original by Rotary Connection is a desert island record for me and Nuyorican Soul covered it impeccably. This genius bit of A&Ring by Gilles Peterson gave rise to a Drum & Bass gem (a genre I've not been a huge fan of) and possibly one of my all-time choice remixes.

23. The James Gang - Ashes, Rain & I

I end with a track that contains the string sample (wait till the very end!!) upon which my professional career is hugely indebted to. I can't take thecredit for unearthing it but when researching Norman Cook’s inspiration brought me to this, it proved to me that there is an absolute validity insampling as an art. Inspiration can come at any time and from anything and while this list could have included music and songs that are moreworthy and would, indeed, be higher in my iTunes ranking, these are the ones that came at a certain time and a certain place, and the oneswhich, like it or not, inspired me.

The next chapter in the Adrian Lux story comes in the form of his brand new Ultra Records single, “Alive” featuring English electro pop band The Good Natured. The slickly produced track is the perfect marriage of pop and the dance floor; combining traditional song structures with a banging chorus that makes a club tilt on its axis.

With one foot in the suburb where he grew up and the other in the pulsating Stockholm nightlife, Adrian Lux meshes his worlds through music. Adrian creates sounds that are often described both as minimal and grandiose. His music built its foundation on the dance floor, with a teenage whimsy attached to it. Two disc set includes “Mixed For The Night” DJ Mix and “Produced For The Night” Jesse Rose originals, remixes and edits.A brand for club life, a compilation series, club residencies around the world, a globetrotting DJ, a genre defining producer, a trend setting A&R. It all seems rather complicated, so let’s break it down.

The brainchild of Jesse Rose, ‘Made For The Night’ started life as compilation series that would provide a way for the listener to fully understand an artist. Not another remix compilation, ‘Best Of’ or overpriced single CD DJ mix, but an insight for the listener to understand both sides of an artist, both what they play in the club and what they produce outside of the club. The series will not just look at legends or headliners but also the up and coming. Along with the compilation, comes a short documentary following the artist, the first in the series directed by Jules Audry. From here Jesse decided that this should also follow into club night residencies around the world pushing a forward thinking night, not a label night that has to put on the artists on their roster but a night Jesse could really put his love of all sides on dance music into one place. Mixing artists is Jesse's concept, wishing to invite friends such as Loco Dice, Radio Slave, label mates Oliver $, Riva Starr and Round Table Knights alongside house legends such as Derrick Carter, Sneak and Cajmere to forward thinking new acts such as Axel Boman, then flipping it with artists such as Flying Lotus, Four Tet and L-vis 1990.

What better time for this all to begin than 2011, a time when people are done with one music all night long and at the same time are fed up with non-stop big tunes being played all night. When people can log onto the internet and be into a multitude of different things. Proof of this; Jesse is just as comfortable playing at L.A Sunday bash ‘The Do-Over’ alongside Gaslamp Killer and DJ Quik playing house as he is at Cocoon playing with Sven Vath and at both parties the crowd knows exactly what to expect from Jesse.

What you have to remember is Jesse Rose started out recording for Derrick Carter's seminal ‘Classic’ label, created a scene with Switch that become the starting point for new scenes to emerge, from Ed Banger to Dirty Bird. Jesse then moved to Berlin and got deep holding residency at Panorama bar alongside Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos and Cassy. With his labels Front Room Recordings, Made to Play and now Play it Down, Jesse took house into multiple directions, helping to create careers for the likes of Sinden, Riva Starr, Oliver $, Zombie Disco Squad, Trevor Loveys, Round Table Knights and many more.

Jesse also seems to be the kind of guy that always happens to be in the right place at the right time. Moving to Bristol as a teenager being brought up exposed to the rise of trip-hop and drum and bass by the likes of Massive Attack (in fact Jesse's first club night at the tender age of fourteen had Daddy G from Massive Attack as his guest), Portishead, Roni Size, to trips back to London to see his father, listening to Kiss FM and being taken to shows by Giles Peterson, Cypress Hill and hanging out at the famous jazz club Ronnie Scots. By the time Jesse moved back to London at the age of 18, he had already created a good rep as a DJ, produced his first tracks, mixed a compilation for house label Subversive and was about to meet the producer that would change his life; Dave Taylor, AKA, Switch. The two started producing together and Dave pushed Jesse to step up his game and produce solo material. Jesse then became a regular, playing at the newly open Fabric club and had his own weekly Kiss FM show.

From there Jesse brought his version of house to Berlin and was greeted with open arms by press, clubs and the general public, bringing something new to a scene that, at that time, was fully focused on minimal techno.

Remiix Dubfire (iOS) Contest launched

Today international DJ Dubfire launched a pioneering iOS remix contest. Electronic music fans are being offered the chance to remix Dubfire’s music via the Remiix Dubfire iOS app ($2.99/￡1.79/2.39€ from Apple’s App Store) and see their winning track released on his respected SCI+TEC Digital Audio label.

It will be the first time that a record label has ever released an official remix composed solely on an iPhone or iPad. The groundbreaking competition potentially opens up a new democratic frontier for music production as no professional equipment, music software, or prior studio knowledge is required to produce a remix. All you need to enter the Dubfire Remiix Contest is an iOS device, and the Remiix Dubfire app.

Remiix Dubfire was released in March by Berlin-based interactive music company Liine. The app, for Apple’s iPhone and iPad, allows electronic music fans to remix some of Dubfire’s club tracks through a combination of loop manipulation, beat-matching, and powerful digital effects.

On Monday Liine released a free update to Remiix Dubfire that included a new Record & Share functionality that allows users to record their remix sessions and share their creations online. The remix contest is powered by the new feature. The update also added two of Dubfire’s biggest hits (RibCage and Roadkill) to the app bringing the total number of included tracks to eight.

To enter the remix contest all iPhone / iPad users need to do is download the Remiix Dubfire app, remix and record their performance, and then upload their track via the Record & Share function. After a period of voting (entrants can have friends vote for their remix through a Facebook ‘like’ button) the competition will end on 17 December 2011. Dubfire will then listen to the top 50 most voted-for remixes before selecting his winner.

The Dubfire Remiix Contest launches 17 October 2011 and closes 17 December 2011. The winner will be announced on 17 February 2012.

Winter Music Conference Announces 2012 Dates

Winter Music Conference (WMC) opened its 2012 season in South Florida today with the announcement of the Winter Music Conference 2012 dates. This will be the 27th annual program for what is largely regarded as the pre-eminent platform on the global music industry calendar for launching new music, technology and trends. Winter Music Conference Week 2012 happens March 16 – 25, 2012 in Miami Beach, Florida.

For 2012, WMC plans to further enhance the WMC experience by delivering ten non-stop days of music programming in Miami Beach and Miami. This expansion will wrap the program week with two full weekends of parties and events. WMC Co-founder, Bill Kelly, explains, "Expanding the WMC dates was an easy decision given the high demand of artists, businesses and industry delegates. Miami Beach and the greater Miami area boast some of the most celebrated event and club venues as well as the hotels and resorts that comprise South Beach's famed Art Deco District. Hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops and every sort of possible entertainment venue are filled to capacity during WMC Week to the point where five days just wasn't enough."

New for 2012, WMC will be unveiling correlated segments of its industry program dedicated to music and fashion on its opening weekend and indie rock meets electronica programming under the WMC Rocks header on the closing weekend, in addition to its standard programming and events. Since tearing up ADE last time around, Saved Records have enjoyed their best year to date. Now enlisted to open Studio 80's ADE 2011 proceedings, Saved will be coming stronger than ever with a finely selected group of the label's finest talent in-toe. The night will also feature a never been done before, groundbreaking 3 way b2b performance from label boss Nic Fanciulli, Detroit legend Stacey Pullen and the UK's new generation star Tim Green. Nic and Stacey worked together in the studio on their rolling anthem Limmo whilst all three have played at the same Saved parties in the past, rocking it every time. This time, the three will put their talents together for a special, one-off DJ-ing master class; the Saved way.

Alongside that special performance in the Dutch capital, Glaswegian Gary Beck will be on board to deliver some straight up techno sounds. Systematic Colours Volume Three Mixed by Phonique

Systematic Colours Volume Three mixed by Phonique is a not-to-be missed snapshot of Marc Romboy's vision for his record label, Systematic Recordings. Mixing classic releases with newer material, it is an opportunity to revisit some memories and to look to the future.

Taking the reins for the third in the series is Phonique. He deftly stitches the compilation together, blending tracks with a very nice effect. Phonique is an international performer who regularly spins in Brazil as well as playing a regular spot at Panorama Bar in Berlin. The vibe in the early moments of the album is very much deep house. This is not Systematic's most typical genre, but a firm Phonique favourite as he has won several awards for the style. Spirit Catcher's Frequent Traveller is a case in point. As the album progresses, things become warmer and by the time track 5 drops, F.E.X's Hedonism, there has been a palpable shift in mood.

It is intelligent mixing and is reminiscent of Phonique's club sets. By starting deep he gives a neat context to some of Systematic's more recognisable tunes, making them appear even more special than they would on their own. Something immediately noticeable is the broad range of instruments it is possible to pick out. Check out the muted trumpet on Audio Soul Project's Traditionalist. Or the reedy sounds on Pharaoh by Dimitri Andreas, which by the way is as evocative of ancient Egypt as is possible for a dance tune to be.

It's refreshing to see Phonique thinking outside the box with tunes like these. It adds depth to the mix and gives Systematic Colours Volume Three a jazzy feel that is incredibly enjoyable. Marc Romboy features heavily which is no surprise but always a pleasure. A highlight is the popular Couleur de L'Espoir by Rodriguez Jr. vs. Marc Romboy. Bass-heavy, Detroit inspired and totally tasty. The album's final moments yield some straightforward-yet-spacey tech house courtesy of Romboy and Stephan Bodzin's 2010 smash Triton, still sounding fresh a year down the pipes.

Overall, Systematic Colours Volume Three flies the flag incredibly well for Systematic Recordings. It's an accessible delight that will please both the casual listener and those with a more vested interest in the label's releases alike. Systematic Colours Volume Three mixed by Phonique is out from today on Systematic Recordings and available on www.beatport.com and all other online music retailers.

UMEK will embark on the final leg of his relentless 2011 touring schedule when he hits Das Schiff in Switzerland October 08.

The superstar DJ will then criss cross the US, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Holland, Russia, Israel, Italy, Hungary and Spain through the end of the year.

It's been a massive year for UMEK, not the least of which was the launch of his global radio show, Behind The Iron Curtain in August. The show is aired weekly on satellite giant SiriusXM (Electric Area) to more than 2 million people.

Kaskade (aka Ryan Raddon) has spent the last twelve months creating the double disc album in his Santa Monica studio, following on from his 2010 album ‘Dynasty’ which debuted at no.5 on the iTunes Overall Album chart. A conceptual first in dance music, ‘Fire & Ice’ explores both sides of Kaskade’s personality, with the two discs serving as a soundtrack for a total nightout.

The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor. From lead single ‘Eyes’, which BBC’s Pete Tong used to open his Essential Selection show, to ‘How Long’ and ‘Llove’, Kaskade’s signature anthemic lyric-driven house is displayed at its best. His collaboration with Skrillex, ‘Lick It’, serves up a growling slice of electro, but never forgets the musicality and melody that underpin Kaskade’s productions, qualities that are re-affirmed in the disc’s closing track, his collaboration with Skylar Grey, ‘Room For Happiness’.

On the second disc Ice, Kaskade chooses to remix all ten songs from Fire himself. Designed to serve as a counter-point to the first disc, Ice provides the perfect down-tempo post club experience, showcasing his musical versatility. The remixed ‘Eyes’ draws on sparse, sonic textures akin to James Blake and Nicolas Jaar. Kaskade transforms his Skrillex collaboration ‘Lick It’ into slow-burning electronica, perfect for a late night drive home. Most of all Ice serves to emphasize the emotive lyrics that underpin Kaskade’s songs, easily missed at high-tempos. Ice offers the perfect chance to observe an artist who builds his music from the words up, a rarity in contemporary dance music.

The votes are being counted as dance music readies itself for the biggest awards night of the year. As previously announced, for the first time in its history, the Top 100 DJs Awards ceremony will take place during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) on 20 October.

In conjunction with Get Real energy drink and leading dance download store Trackitdown.net, the Top 100 DJs Awards Party will be held on Thursday 20 October at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam. Get Real will be launching their new energy drink on the night.

Fittingly, this is one of the biggest line-ups the Top 100 DJs Awards has ever seen. Current world’s No.1 DJ, Armin van Buuren, will be joined by David Guetta, Fedde Le Grand, Markus Schulz, and this year’s winner, with more names to be announced soon.

The ceremony itself will be held around midnight in front of a crowd that will include clubbers, leading industry figures and media. In addition to the award for the No.1 DJ, awards will also be presented to the highest DJ in each genre, the highest climber and the highest new entry.

The influence of the original pioneers of house music has never been more keenly felt than in 2011 with a return to the classic sound. The majority of the year’s breakthrough artists owed much of their popularity to artists who first introduced the scene to the world’s dance floors in the late 80’s.

For their inaugural ADE event at stunning new venue AIR, Defected have brought together three of the biggest names in house music, Frankie Knuckles, Inner City LIVE and MK. With Knuckles originally from Chicago, Kevin Saunderson and Inner City from Detroit and MK from New York, we have a unique opportunity to sample the whole spectrum of House at one event. Their sets will undoubtedly contain well loved classics, but this is not a classic house night. The DJs maintain their position as the best in the world by constantly seeking out the freshest and newest bombs setting the standard for contemporary producers to follow.

All the above can all be counted as part of the elite group of DJs that are regarded as the founding fathers of today’s scene. It was their influence that shaped House music as we know it, from genre-defining records such as ‘Big Fun’, ‘Good Life’ , ‘4th Measure Men’, ‘Burnin’ ‘Tears’, ‘Your Love’ (a record that DJ Mag just voted No1 in the top 100 most influential house track of all time). Hitting you with equal force are their contemporary productions making them more relevant and respected than ever. It was Frankies’ re rub of Hercules and Love Affair ‘Blind’ that signalled his renaissance. Kevin Saunderson is due to release a beautiful contemporary Techno track called ‘Future’ so well produced that almost every dance DJ regardless of genre will play it. As for MK, his influence on producers like Maya Jane Coles and now some pop culture acts cannot be underestimated.

Most spectacular of all is the exclusive performance of Inner City LIVE, originally formed in 1987 by one of the founding fathers of modern techno, Kevin Saunderson. The group – comprising Kevin Saunderson, Ann Saunderson and Paris Grey – are responsible for some of the best-loved house records of the last 20 years, the records ‘Big Fun’, ‘Good Life’ and ‘Pennies from Heaven’ represent a monumental era of dance. Inner City is considered one of the most influential dance acts of all time.

Twenty years on MK has maintained a near unprecedented level of credibility within the underground dance music scene, with records such as ‘Burning’ remaining staples in the wallets and boxes of house DJs the world over. Through his timeless productions, MK has influenced a new generation of producer, with the result that his sound is more relevant today than it ever has been.

Defected has a reputation of expertly presenting classic with new and will showcase its full spectacular roster at this event. Here is your chance to see new Dutch kid on the block Franky Rizardo as well as DJ royalty in the form of The Shapeshifters, Chocolate Puma, Treasure Fingers and label boss Simon Dunmore. Morgan Page announces today his “In the Air Tour.”

Named after the lead single from his upcoming album, the tour will launch Oct. 6 and run through February 2012. Monday 26th to Thursday 29th September – Live streaming from Pacha.This week legendary Ibiza club Pacha is teaming up with Argonon and digital broadcaster Videojuicer to allow online viewers behind the super club’s doors for the last week of the summer season. This will be the first ever Pacha digital event, with exclusivity, access, real-time conversation and the music that defined the 2011 season.

Pacha will become the first club in the world to join Facebook’s entertainment revolution with the launch of its cutting edge entertainment player offering a pioneering live and interactive video channel that will give users the opportunity to watch and interact with all of the content on offer directly from within the site through http://apps.facebook.com/pachatv/. The Facebook app will give access to a raft of bespoke videos for music fans across the globe and exclusive films direct from the world’s most glamorous club night.

Remedy Productions, part of the Argonon group and producers of a raft of music and talent based content for UK and international broadcasters including MTV and Channel 4, will be producing high quality, cutting edge content for the site. Cameras will be installed at Pacha on the terrace, Mambos and Lios during the closing parties allowing online fans the chance to ask questions to each night’s DJs in real-time via twitter, facebook and the web. In between interviews, they will be showing exclusive footage capturing just some of the highlights of the 2011 season.

Pacha have also granted the cameras exclusive access to the VIP room during the Pacha DJ awards on Tuesday 27th September, which will be covered via live stream featuring interviews from a whole host of the artists at the show. Hello! Tell us a bit about yourself...

Hi, we are Chrizzo & Maxim, two producers/Djs from Germany. We met in 2007 when we were both interning for a record label called Great Stuff Recordings. Since then we've been traveling a lot and worked with all kinds of different artists from Amanda Wilson and JCA to Pitbull and Sean Kingston. We are signed to Spinnin' Records and just released the music video to our first single called "Runaway"!

What inspires you to make music?

The ability to reach people from all over the world and make them dance and have a good time! The feeling when somebody goes crazy to your music in the club is just the best thing ever… we also appreciate all the messages we get on Twitter and our Facebook page!

Sum up your music in three words...

"Good vibes man!" That's a phrase we picked up during our time in Miami where people say that all the time but I think it fits our attitude and the message we wanna bring across with the things we do, whether we are playing in a club or working in the studio!

Favourite dance move?

Haha this is a tough one. Probably just uncontrolled jumping with one hand and a drink in the air!

Favourite piece of technology?

Our Laptop + Headphones. Even though we have our studio in Munich that's basically all we need which is great since we can transport it everywhere we go and make music.

As the countdown continues to Toolroom Knights biggest EVER show, Mark Knight has now announced that he will be raising the stakes even further with the debut of his live set on the night. Beatport Emulator Winner Accepts Prize at PLASA Show 2011

SmithsonMartin Inc. in partnership with Beatport LLC have given 10 lucky winners free license for the Emulator multi-touch midi software. The promotion, run in late summer, also gave one winner the opportunity to contribute his or her own setlist to the Beatport Charts. The winner was announced and received his prize, one full 32" Emulator Dual View Multi-Touch DJ System, at this year's Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA) Show held at Earls Court in London, UK.

"The winner of the 32" Dual view system is Damion Burbank, a native of London and one hell of a great DJ" said Alan Smithson, CEO of SmithsonMartin (the makers of Emulator). "I am thrilled that Damion won this prize because he is a hard working DJ and is very good in what he does and humble at the same time. You will see him rocking the Emulator in London clubs soon."

Genre-defining, boundary-pushing electronic juggernaut Swedish House Mafia have announced two historic, landmark ‘One Night Stand’ shows on both sides of the Atlantic as they will headline New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden on Friday, Dec. 16th, 2011 and the UK’s legendary 65,000 capacity Milton Keynes National Bowl on July 14th, 2012. These two milestone shows will see Swedish House Mafia - Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso - make history by becoming the first dance act to have headlined both venues. The list of artists who have played Madison Square Garden reads like a veritable who’s who of music dating from the late sixties to the present day. Dennis Ferrer & André Hommen - 'No Difference' (Objektivity) Out 11th Oct

The musical integrity of Dennis Ferrer is unquestionable. With a career that spans over a decade and an immaculate discography that strikes fear in the hearts of his contemporaries, his modus operandi is quality over quantity, motivated by the desire to evolve with each new piece of music he creates. And so we welcome with open arms his long-awaited follow-up to last year’s The Red Room. The track, titled No Difference, sees Ferrer collaborate with André Hommen, an integral part of the Objektivity label and a long time touring companion. Hommen is a young aspiring producer from Dusseldorf, Germany who is returning for his second release on the label following the collaborative release Marashi in 2009 with Gorge and has been garnering increasing amounts of attention recently from the house world.

Having found the time amidst their hectic schedules to head into the studio together, they have now emerged with No Difference, a track bearing all the characteristics of a classic Objektivity production – this is house with funk and soul. Stripped to its skeletal parts, the crisp drum lines drive through the track with the fluid groove provided by the elastic bass line bumping beneath. Built upon the locked rhythm section, as syrupy chords dissipate through the track and percussive elements are re-appropriated to create nuanced melodic motifs, the masterfully chopped vocals circle through the track hypnotically. No Difference is out on Objektivity on Tuesday 11th October.

"Forever" is the massive follow up to the successful debut 'Illmerica' by Wolfgang Gartner and the song has already generated huge amount of buzz over in the US. It's a fiery electro tune with an unmistakable Wolfgang Gartner sound that features will.i.am singing, "Baby, let's party all night long/ Let's make it last forever."
